it could have been a day just like any other we tried turning grind time into fine time but i noticed how you kept to yourself with a hint of confusion between the brows i waited for a bead of sweat that never showed somebody had to make a joke and it was about you and it was for you so we laughed with only good intentions we all did except you tick tock i kept watch of your eyes tick. I tock. was tick. losing tock. hope tick. I almost turned away when something did arise it changed the way i look at you forever for a reason i'm simply not obliged to find it felt like stepping onto water after a long march in the desert when you smiled

why do you hide why do you hide your eyes with your red cap's shadow on your face all the time i mean your eyeglasses i can understand but why d'you gotta be always looking down? someday, i'll be sitting on a bench some time before winter listening to kyla's songs, up dharma's, or whoever smiling at people passing by and sweet moments before my eyes that day, you'll be running away from all the talking and get tired from all the running find my bench, sit beside me and hear me sing the melody one day, when your heart is hurt we'll sit silent in your car home from a party in a bar you'll smell so good despite the rum you'll look too sad to walk away from today, you seem alright happy as far as i can see and i'm as far as i can be i don't wish for the day you'll break but when you do i wish to make every lonely night
